Ergonomic Design
Lightweight, well-sized puppets and components are designed for ease of handling, promoting comfort, and supporting hand strength development.

Graphical Manuals
Simplified, visually guided instructions empower seniors to assemble and manipulate puppets independently, minimizing the need for caregiver assistance.
The design process began with user interviews and observations at daycare centers, revealing the need for simplified tasks and engaging activities that combine cognitive and physical exercise.

Seniors expressed interest in nostalgic activities like storytelling, which helped them recall memories and connect with others.
Based on initial feedback, the puppet assembly process and manuals were simplified, with prototypes tested for usability and comfort.
This project, while not involving digital devices, highlights the essence of user-centered design by addressing the genuine needs of seniors. Testing at a local care center revealed how intuitive puppet assembly and storytelling could spark joy and help seniors reconnect with treasured memories. Their smiles and heartfelt engagement reinforced the idea that thoughtful design, even in its simplest forms, can create profound and meaningful connections.
Although the product is not yet ready for large-scale production, the experience confirmed its potential value. Observing how seniors lit up during the sessions underscored the power of design to bring happiness and build connections in everyday life. Moving forward, exploring ways to refine and scale similar ideas could lead to an even greater impact.
