Hi, I'm Ying-Chen Chen!
I'm passionate about UX research and graphic design, and I love exploring how people interact with products and stories. My background spans both design and user research—from visual storytelling and accessible interface design to projects that explore how different communities engage with technology. These experiences have helped me build a solid foundation in understanding user needs and turning them into thoughtful, practical design ideas.
During my time at LINE Taiwan's Business Solutions team, I supported projects focused on improving product adoption and streamlining workflows for enterprise clients. In school, I've worked on a wide range of UX research and design topics, including accessible interfaces for older adults, therapeutic play concepts for dementia prevention, Web3 community engagement, and tourism navigation systems. Working across such diverse user groups strengthened my skills in user interviews, usability testing, and iterative design.
Beyond methods and processes, what drives me most is empathy—being able to listen, understand, and translate real user needs into meaningful design decisions. I enjoy collaborating with others, asking questions, and shaping ideas through continuous exploration and refinement.
I'm always excited about opportunities to learn, create, and bring ideas to life in a way that's useful, human-centered, and visually engaging.
Design Philosophy
Where ideas Bloom?

"For me, design is the bridge between people and technology, making it accessible for everyone, no matter their age or community."

To me, design isn't just about making something look nice—it's about making it work for people, solving real-world problems, and creating experiences that are both functional and delightful. Every project I take on feels like piecing together a puzzle: understanding the needs of different users, connecting the dots, and finding solutions that make a difference.

I've worked on a variety of projects, from designing digital tools to make life easier for older adults to exploring how design fosters collaboration in Web3 communities. These experiences taught me the value of inclusivity and empathy in design. They also showed me that technology has no boundaries—and design shouldn't either. Whether for older adults, children, or those new to digital tools, I aim to create designs that feel welcoming and empowering for everyone.
